Program Description
Cross Creek school for Boys and Cross Creek school for Girls is a six level program that allows students to be held accountable for their actions. Each day students adhere to a strict schedule and follow a firm set of rules.
Cross Creek programs are therapeutic schools that provide each student with weekly sessions with a therapist. Therapy is an important component of Cross Creek. In addition to individual therapy sessions, students meet daily as a group with their therapist. The therapist will also have regular communication with the students parents throughout the course of the program. As the student progresses throughout the program, the therapy sessions will include the parent and child. Parent/Child Workshops are conducted at the facility at various times throughout the year.
Academics
Upon arriving at Cross Creek, each student must complete a skill-building course designed to improve: reading and comprehension, memory, spelling, and vocabulary. This allows students to refresh on the basics while allowing staff to understand weaknesses and strengths of each student. After this course, and a review of the students transcripts is complete, students will receive an individual course of action to continue their studies.
Cross Creek academic program is self paced and focuses on the individual. Each course must be passed at a level of 80% or better, this ensures that students are truly mastering each subject before moving on in their studies. Students are able to progress through their course work at their own pace. The academic program at Cross Creek Programs has been designed to work successfully for the college-prep student as well as the learning-disabled student.
Certified teachers, teacher’s assistants and staff are available to assist and tutor students at any time.
